Middle school math, grades 6 to 8
The grades where arithmetic turns into algebra — taught one-to-one and online, following the same domains the school does, with free adaptive practice between lessons.
What this covers in detail
Ratios & Proportional Relationships
Ratios, rates, percent and proportional reasoning — the thread that runs through grades 6 and 7.
The Number System
Fractions and decimals, negative numbers, rational numbers, and irrational numbers in grade 8.
Expressions & Equations
Writing and simplifying expressions, solving equations and inequalities, exponents, and systems of linear equations.
Functions
Introduced in grade 8: defining, comparing and graphing functions, and using linear functions to model relationships.
Geometry
Area, surface area and volume, angles, transformations, similarity and the Pythagorean theorem.
Statistics & Probability
Describing data distributions, comparing populations, probability models and scatter plots.
Grades 6 to 8 decide how high school math goes. Ratios, negative numbers and the first equations are where most later trouble starts, and a gap here follows a student into Algebra I. These lessons find the gap and close it, in step with the school’s own course.
What this covers
In step with school
Lessons follow the grade and unit the student is on, so practice matches homework and tests.

The goal is a student who starts high school algebra with nothing missing underneath.

Common questions
My state does not use Common Core. Does this still fit?
Yes. State standards differ in wording and order, but the middle school content is largely the same. Lessons follow your school’s actual course.
Can you support an accelerated track?
Yes — including students taking Algebra I in grade 7 or 8.
