This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies the Noktua Academy website uses, what they are for, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Your choice
The first time you visit our public pages we ask whether you accept optional cookies. You can accept analytics cookies, reject everything that is not essential, or choose by category under Manage preferences. Marketing cookies are for adults only: they can be switched on only in the preferences, after ticking a box to confirm that you are 18 or older. Nothing optional is used until you have said yes, and refusing does not stop any part of the site from working.
We remember your choice for six months and then ask again. We also ask again if we materially change what these categories cover. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time — it takes effect immediately:

2. Necessary cookies
These are needed for the site to work and cannot be switched off. They are not used for analytics or advertising.

3. Settings kept in your browser
The site also keeps a few preferences in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us.

4. Analytics cookies — only with your consent
If you accept the Analytics category, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and how visitors find us. It is used on our public pages only, never inside the signed-in student area. It sends usage information to Google, with Google signals switched on and, for signed-in adult accounts only, a pseudonymous account ID — see section 10 of the Privacy Policy.

If you do not accept this category, the Google Analytics script is not loaded at all, these cookies are not set and nothing is sent to Google. If you accept and later withdraw, we delete these cookies and Google Analytics stops recording straight away; activity it had already recorded in the few seconds before may still be delivered.
5. Marketing cookies — only with your consent
Adults only: this category can be switched on only after you confirm, in the cookie preferences, that you are 18 or older. It has no effect unless Analytics is also accepted. It lets Google use the Google Analytics data from your visits to personalise advertising and build advertising audiences, including through Google signals (see section 10 of the Privacy Policy). No advertising tag such as Google Ads is installed on this site at present, and no marketing cookie is set on our domain. Google may use its own cookies on its own domains under its own policies. Ad personalisation is always off for accounts of under-18s, for accounts whose age we do not know and for staff accounts, whatever is chosen here. We will update this policy if we add an advertising tag.
6. How your choice reaches Google
We use Google Consent Mode. Before any Google tag can run, every consent signal is set to “denied”. Your choice then sets them: Analytics controls analytics storage; Marketing controls advertising storage, the sending of user data for advertising, and advertising personalisation.
7. Our own page statistics
Separately from Google Analytics, we count page views on our own servers. This uses no cookie and stores nothing on your device, keeps no IP address, and records nothing that identifies you or links one visit to another — only the page, the site you came from, any campaign tag on the link, your country and your type of device. It does not depend on your cookie choice. Details are in section 10 of the Privacy Policy.
8. Other websites
When you pay by card, you use a payment link we send you, which opens a payment page run by Revolut, and our WhatsApp links open WhatsApp. Those services set their own cookies on their own sites, under their own policies. Nothing from them is loaded on our pages.
9. Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser’s settings. If you block the necessary cookies, signing in will not work.
