AP Statistics, the revised course
Five units instead of nine, and a fully digital exam. One-to-one tutoring that follows the course as it is taught now.
What this covers in detail
Unit 1: Exploring One-Variable Data and Collecting Data
Investigative questions, categorical and quantitative variables, comparing distributions, sampling and experimental design.
Unit 2: Probability, Random Variables, and Probability Distributions
Simulation, the rules of probability, random variables, and the binomial and normal distributions.
Unit 3: Inference for Categorical Data: Proportions
Confidence intervals and significance tests for population proportions.
Unit 4: Inference for Quantitative Data: Means
Confidence intervals and significance tests for means, using t-distributions.
Unit 5: Regression Analysis
Two-variable data, correlation, linear models, residuals and interpreting regression output.
AP Statistics was revised for 2026-27: the course was consolidated into five units and the exam moved fully into Bluebook, with four longer free-response questions. It is a course about reasoning with data and explaining conclusions in words — and older prep materials no longer match it. These lessons follow the current course.
What this covers
The current course
The five-unit framework and the new exam format — not the nine-unit course in older books.
Writing the conclusion
Most points are lost in the explanation, not the calculation. Lessons practice writing conclusions in context.
Calculator and Desmos
The exam allows a graphing calculator and built-in Desmos. Lessons make sure the tool is used quickly and correctly.

Common questions
What changed in the revised course?
The units were consolidated into five, a few topics were removed, and the exam became fully digital with 42 multiple-choice and four free-response questions.
Do I need strong algebra?
Less than for calculus. Statistics is more about reasoning and interpretation — though comfort with formulas helps.
