AP Calculus AB and BC
Both courses, unit by unit — one-to-one and online, with the AP Exam’s multiple-choice and free-response sections in view.
What this covers in detail
Limits and Continuity
Unit 1: limits, continuity, asymptotes and the Intermediate Value Theorem.
Differentiation
Units 2–5: the definition of the derivative, the rules, composite, implicit and inverse functions, and contextual and analytical applications.
Integration
Units 6 and 8: accumulation of change, the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, techniques of integration, and area and volume.
Differential Equations
Unit 7: slope fields, separable equations and exponential models — plus Euler’s method and logistic models in BC.
BC only
Unit 9: parametric equations, polar coordinates and vector-valued functions. Unit 10: infinite sequences and series, including Taylor series.
AP Calculus AB covers a first semester of college calculus; BC covers the same eight units plus two more. Both exams test understanding as much as technique — why a result holds, not only how to compute it. These lessons build the technique and the justification together.
What this covers
AB or BC
Lessons follow the course you are taking — and help decide between them if you have not chosen.
Free response, scored properly
Free-response answers are graded on justification. Lessons use the published scoring guidelines so you learn what earns each point.
Calculator and no-calculator
Both sections have parts with and without a graphing calculator. Each is practiced on its own terms.

Common questions
Is BC much harder than AB?
BC moves faster and adds two units, most notably series. It is very manageable with a solid precalculus base.
Do you prepare for the AP Exam?
Yes — released free-response questions, timed practice and the Bluebook format.
