Middle school physical science, grades 6 to 8
The first physics and chemistry a student meets — taught together, as US middle schools do — one-to-one and online.
What this covers in detail
Matter and Its Interactions
Atoms and molecules, states of matter, properties of substances and chemical reactions.
Motion and Stability: Forces and Interactions
Newton’s laws, gravity, and electric and magnetic forces.
Energy
Kinetic and potential energy, energy transfer and conservation, and thermal energy.
Waves and Their Applications
Wave properties, sound and light, and how waves carry information.
In US middle schools, physics and chemistry are not separate subjects: they are taught together as physical science. Most states follow the Next Generation Science Standards, which organize it into four core ideas. These lessons follow your school’s units and make the ideas clear before the formulas arrive.
What this covers
Your school’s units
Standards vary by state and district. Lessons follow what your school is actually teaching.
Ideas before formulas
Each topic starts from what is physically happening, so the math describes something already understood.
Ready for high school
A solid physical science base makes high school Chemistry and Physics far easier.

Lessons at the student's home carry an extra charge of €10/hour.
Common questions
Is there separate physics and chemistry in middle school?
Usually not. They are combined as physical science, often within an integrated science course. Separate Physics and Chemistry courses start in high school.
Can you help with lab reports?
Yes — planning an investigation, presenting data and writing the conclusion.
