Electromagnetism, from Coulomb to Maxwell
Electrostatics, Magnetostatics and Electrodynamics for university physics and engineering — one-to-one and online, with the vector calculus taught alongside.
What this covers in detail
Electrostatics
Coulomb’s law, electric fields and potential, Gauss’s law, conductors and capacitors, dielectrics and boundary-value problems.
Magnetostatics
The Lorentz force, the Biot–Savart law, Ampère’s law, the vector potential and magnetic materials.
Electrodynamics
Faraday’s law and induction, Maxwell’s equations, electromagnetic waves, energy and the Poynting vector, and radiation.
Electromagnetism is where vector calculus stops being optional. Divergence, curl and flux integrals appear on every page, and a student who is unsure of them is unsure of everything built on top. These lessons make the maths solid and then use it — all the way to Maxwell’s equations.
What this covers
Vector calculus that holds
Gradient, divergence, curl and the integral theorems made solid first — they are the language the whole subject is written in.
Symmetry does the work
Choosing the Gaussian surface or Amperian loop is a skill. It is practised until picking the right one is quick.
Problem sheets and past exams
Lessons follow your course’s sheets and past papers, whether it is taught from Griffiths, Purcell or its own notes.

Common questions
Which courses is this for?
Electromagnetism in physics degrees (first course through Griffiths-level electrodynamics) and electromagnetics in electrical engineering.
I struggle with div, grad and curl. Should I still start here?
Yes. The vector calculus is covered as part of the lessons — it is usually the real reason Electromagnetism feels hard.
